Hypoallergenic cats
About 14% of cat owners are allergic to cats. Of these, 9 out of 10 are allergic to the Fel D1 protein. This protein is found in cat saliva, urine and tears. People with cat allergy often suffer from sneezing attacks, watering eyes and sometimes difficulty breathing.
Fortunately, there are cat breeds that are considered hypoallergenic, meaning they are unlikely to cause an allergic reaction because they produce fewer allergens. In fact, it is the allergens that are the culprit because they cause the allergic reaction.

Sabine and her children always dreamed of having cats in
their home, but it turned out not to be so easy. They adopted a European
shorthair cat, but unfortunately it didn't turn out to be a hit. Sabine's
partner suffered from a severe allergic reaction.
Fortunately, Sabine didn't have to put her love for cats on hold because of her
partner's allergies. She discovered that allergy-friendly cats exist. "I
met a breeder on the internet who explained everything to me in detail and
assured me that it works in 90% of the cases," says Sabine. - says Sabine.
That's how they met Xan, a Siberian cat. He was only eight weeks old when
Sabine first met him and immediately fell in love with him. "Finally a new
baby who even sleeps in my arms!", says Sabine. However, she was not the
one who chose the name, but the breeder. "The breeder gave all her litters
different names. Xan came from litter X. We liked the name, so we decided to
keep him."

A few months later, their second kitten was born. ‘Dandy is our second new family member,’ says Sabine. They now have two Siberian cats, one golden and one silver. Luckily, her husband is not allergic to them!
Ain't no tower high enough
‘We have four scratching posts, two of which are from RHR Pets. We love the quality and since our cats both weigh 6kg, they definitely need a stable scratching post. They also need plenty of space to sleep and cuddle,’ says Sabine.
We are more than sure that Xan and Dandy will have a great time on our scratching posts.

‘Xan is obsessed with the Devon Rex. His old scratching post was actually too small for him, every time he fell asleep on it, he would fall down. Now he has lots of room!’
