Is (outdoor) play healthy for a cat?

Playing is very much good for your cat and it is an essential component for a happy and healthy cat. Why is this so?

  • Playing reduces stress and pain
  • Saves boredom in your cat
  • Strengthen the bond between hoomans and their furry friends
  • Maintain a healthy weight
What does a cat need daily in terms of food and exercise?

Everything starts with good food for your
furry friend. High quality food is important because it lets you know that your
cat is getting everything it needs. However, it is important that your diet
matches your cat's behaviour and stage of life.

In addition to food, your cat needs it to
be able to release its energy and be stimulated physically and mentally. How
can you ensure that cats are stimulated? And what toys can cats play with?

  • Cat hinge
  • Cat toys with catnip
  • Cat fitness with a laser light
  • Intelligence games and puzzles
  • Running outside

Cats can definitely get sunburned and should be well lubricated

Can cats burn? How do you keep your cat cool?

Like us humans, cats are sensitive to UV radiation. Certain body parts are exposed a lot and are therefore more vulnerable.

For cats, these are particularly the ears and bridge of the nose. There, the fur is thinner and blocks less radiation.

Cats love to lie on their backs and warm their bellies in the sun. Since the belly coat is not as dense as the back coat, the belly can also burn quickly.

During hot temperatures, make sure your cat stays calm and always has a place in the shade to cool off. Think for example of a bath, sprinklers or a cardboard box in a cool place. Your furry friend can't resist this and so he won't be in a draught. After all, cats don't like that.
