Every week we look for interesting stories about cats and their owners. This week we ended up in Finland, with Johanna and her two Bengal cats. This cat breed suits Johanna and her family well, as they are active and all like to be outside. Because of that, Johanna knew that the brother and sister needed a cat tree that meets their needs!
Royals
The two beautiful Bengals come from the Finnish cattery Ter Lucky Royals, and of course fitting names had to be invented for them. Johanna's children thought of Lord Voldemort and Darth Vader, and the name Lordi was eventually chosen. The beautiful silver charcoal Bengal is Lily, named after Princess Leia, the princess of Star Wars, and of course after the flower. Johanna also simply thought the names matched well together because they both start with 'L'.
Dreams of Bengals
In 2020, Johanna dreamed of Bengal cats, she contacted a cattery but a response took a long time. Only months later did she receive a reply. Because the message had been overlooked, Johanna got the first choice from the litter. That same evening, they chose their new kitten. The intention was to pick one kitten, but due to their active nature, she decided to go for 2 playmates. Moreover, Johanna had had cats her whole life, so she already knew the pros and cons. Although these two Bengals do take it up a notch.
Sometimes they blow up the whole house, but... you always have a friend in them!
Grandma knows best
In the middle of Johanna's living room, you will find the Maine Coon Tower. "Grandma advised us to get a cat tree from you, and it was immediately an absolute hit. But we really need to have another one," Johanna says, "sometimes the playing gets quite wild, and they climb up and down like lightning." In November, Lily and Lordi will turn two, maybe a gift in the form of a second cat tree is a good idea?
Especially Lordi has his own distinctive pose when he lies in one of the hammocks, he likes to hang his paws over the edge to keep a good eye on everything around him. And when he is in a deep sleep, a loud snoring sound comes out! Because after all that playing, making the terrace unsafe, teasing the dog, and running around, they prefer to rest on their cat tree.
No day is boring with Lily and Lordi
