Every week we look for interesting stories about cats and their owners. This time we spoke with Shyla. She lives in Sydney, Australia, with her cat named Boots. She works at a registered Australian animal charity, Animal Rescue Sydney - Rescue Cat Crew, which cares for homeless and helpless animals. The cats at the center come from abusive families or were stray cats who never had a home.
Rescuing without killing
"We are proud that we do not kill cats; the cats here get as much time as they want until they have found another home. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, reunite, and/or rehome the animals in our shelter," explains Shyla. - explains Shyla.
The Rescue Cat Crew consists of volunteers who are very passionate and only want the best for the animals. They all spend a lot of time and energy at the shelter. "We truly believe that all animals deserve a second, third, and even another chance. We do everything we can to help each animal flourish and find a new home. With us, it doesn't matter how long it takes!"
We believe that every animal deserves a new chance
TLC
"Shyla's passion for animals is no coincidence. As a child, she grew up with various animals because her family consists of many animal lovers. In 2014, she rescued her first cat. "Since then, we started rescuing more and more cats each time, and soon we were caring for at least four cats or kittens at once," Shyla says."
"Cats are the best companions and give so much love! It's as if they are my family. Even when they are eventually adopted, it feels like a piece of my heart has gone with them. They will always be part of our big cat family."

Saving a cat and giving it a new home is incredibly rewarding. Especially after you have seen the cats grow up.
“All our cats have unique personalities and habits. Some cats come to us scared and aggressive, others are very excited and happy to finally be rescued. But after a little TLC (tender loving care), even the scared cats have calmed down and really enjoy cuddling.”
Puss in Boots
Besides the cats in the shelter, Shyla also takes care of her own cat, Boots. “We chose a name for him because he reminds me of Boots the Cat, as he is also very adventurous and has a playful personality,” Shyla explains. “When I first brought Boots home, he immediately started playing and running around like crazy, he was really cute. We cuddled all night in bed.”

Boots even has his own role in the shelter, as he takes care of the new foster cats and kittens that come to him. “We call him foster father because he has taken on the role of father in our shelter,” says Shyla. - says Shyla.

I have tried many other Cat trees before I bought them
The more, the better
Because Shyla takes care of many cats, she felt it was necessary to purchase some nice Cat trees. The cats can expend all their energy on the Maine Coon Tower, Corner Coon and Coony Lounge.
“We actually want to buy two more, we also have an eye on Royalty and Maine Coon Lounge,” Shyla says. “I looked at many other Cat trees before buying these. I especially wanted a cat tree that is durable, sturdy, and easy to maintain and that can be used by cats and kittens. This is exactly why I decided to buy your cat tree! Our cats and kittens use it every day and have their favorite spots to nap and play.”

My partner is allergic to cats!
Every week we look for interesting stories about cats and their owners. This time we ended up in Germany. Can you imagine how annoying (sorry) it must be to have a partner who is allergic to cats? Sabine can! She and her children dreamed of having a cat in the house, but that didn't really seem like an option for them. "We tried an asylum cat, but unfortunately we had to return it after three days because my husband had a severe allergic reaction."
