Love at first sight
Before Hannah moved to Belgium, she grew up with cats. Nacho and Tavi were her first pets in Belgium. She found both her boys through Facebook. As soon as they saw each other for the first time, it was love at first sight. ‘All they wanted to do was cuddle!’, says Hannah. It also felt very familiar. ‘Nacho is a bit like my partner because he is quite stubborn, but at the same time he is also a sweetheart. Tavi then resembles me again. He loves cuddling and all he wants to do is make others happy.’
I don't want another breed of cat.
Hannah moved to Belgium four years ago and it was not always easy. ‘The integration was quite difficult, I missed my family and friends a lot. My two cats made the loss a little more bearable. Every day I come home and see their cute little faces, it's a joy to have them in my life.’
Devon Rex
Her two cats are Devon Rexes, they are known for their slender bodies, wavy fur and big ears. ‘Many people seem to think they are weird because they look very different from all other breeds,’ but even though they look a bit different, Hannah adores them. ‘I love my cats and I can't imagine living without one. If I were starting over, I would go for a Devon Rex again.’
Maybe Hannah should consider giving them our Devon Rex scratching post, don't you think?
Jung, wild und frei
Her two cats have the Chartreux and Maine Coon sleeper. One is in their playroom, the other in the living room. ‘They are still very young and wild, so we had to make sure they had a scratching post strong enough. They also like to sleep together, so we had to find something that would be big enough for the two of them,’ Hannah explains.’ Nacho's favourite spot is in the hammock. Bit of sun in his face, blissful right? Tavi usually sleeps on top, but sometimes he also dares to lie on top of Nacho.’
