Rainbow Bridge
As a child, Bettina had a cat, but then not for a long time. Only in the year 2000 did she take in a European Shorthair again, Baghira, a proud sovereign large cat. "Unfortunately, I had to let her cross the rainbow bridge a few years ago at the proud age of 20," says Bettina. Since Baghira, more family members gradually joined.
Balu, the group's bear, is a typical red tabby cat, he is now 12 years old but still a real whirlwind from time to time. Because a friend of Bettina accidentally had kittens, they decided to take one. Balu was then together with Baghira, so when Baghira passed away, Balu couldn't be left alone. "Robbie came to us when he was only weeks old, he was bottle-fed because his mother had died, but he was a real go-getter," says Bettina, who always thought she had an ADHD cat. "Sleeping through the night was unthinkable the first few weeks."

The two played together so brilliantly that no film could match it.
Rust for the seniors
Then came Yoko and Nuka (now both 3 years old), the two Bengals play so brilliantly together, Bettina says, that no movie can compare. They provide a lot of entertainment, and Bettina and her husband make sure they are all well socialized with each other.
Because shortly after, Amadeus joined the group, a bit of a rascal, but also a sensitive tomcat who has had a new playmate for a few months now, namely Dante. “This way the seniors get a bit of relief,” Bettina says, who has ensured there is plenty of amusement in the apartment. The two ceiling-high Cat trees help a lot with this. Bettina says the group rotates; they all sit in the hammocks or on the large lounge bed. But it is especially Amadeus who races up and down like a spider on the Maine Coon Tower.

Tight group
In the meantime, Bettina has a beautiful group that is completely in harmony. But besides Balu and Robbie, they also had a Bengal tomcat for some time, named Mojo. Unfortunately, he only lived to be 4 years old because he became ill. At first, he was not socialized at all, but they got that under control quite quickly. "He was a dream cat, and it hit me hard when he died," Bettina says, but she was not the only one affected by this. Because she did not show him to Balu and Robbie at the clinic, the group was upset, they refused food, did not play, and were constantly looking for him.
