Norwegian Forest Cats
Baloo and Mulan are the oldest of the cat family, both being eight years old. They are both Norwegian Forest Cats who also happen to be brother and sister. It didn't take long to introduce them to their two new brothers, Zorro and Orlando. They got along right away! ‘They always felt right at home and were accepted without any problems. Within hours, they played and were cared for by the existing cat family as if they had always been there,’ says Tracy.
Maine Coons
A few years later, Tracy decided to make the family even bigger. She already had four cats and took in Simba. Simba was the first Maine Coon in their family. ‘We love our cat family and could never have a home without a cat, as they are true members of the family,’ says Tracy. ‘They bring so much love and fun, especially if you have more than one, as their playful antics are very entertaining. Each cat is so individual and brings its own character.’
Our cats are true members of the family
The newest addition to the family are Zorba and Khaleesi. Both are also Maine Coons, but they were born in 2021. “All the cats live in harmony as much as possible, unless one of the youngsters thinks they know best,” Tracy says.
Mario and ...
Tracy and her husband already had five different characters in their home, and after their vacation in Venice, they took in another. “We had Luigi the same day we got back from Italy, so we definitely wanted an Italian name.
” Tracy grew up with cats and says she would, without a doubt, go for a cat again. She told us that when she was younger, she even pushed her cat around in her doll carriage. “They offer so much companionship. Cats make your house a home,” she said. “Especially with the kids, it's such an advantage that we can already teach them how to care for animals.” It's hard for her to name anything negative about the cats. “Maybe the 3am zoomies, but I think we knew that beforehand,” Tracy adds.

To each his own
Since they have eight cats, they felt they absolutely needed scratching posts. “We bought our trees because of the size of the scratching posts and sleeping areas, since our cats are of a large breed. It has to be sturdy and it has to be big, since there are eight of them.”
Tracy bought twice the Corner Coon and the Royalty, both of which will certainly satisfy their cats. “It's also good to know that we can buy replacement parts, even though we haven't needed them so far,” Tracy adds.
All the cats have their own favorite spot in the tree. “Zorba likes to sit on top so he can dangle his long paws over the edge. Simba and Khaleesi love the hammocks,” Tracy says. Even though they have plenty of room in their tree, they also like to sleep in other places. An opened box, the end of the bed, on top of the bed, in the sink, on their laptop, their knees.... “Anywhere they want, actually!”
