The Bartlett family

Belinda and her husband Deon treat the cats as if they were their children; the Bartlett family therefore consists of a group of 6. Besides Belinda and her husband, we introduce to you: Cleo, 4 years old, Houston almost 2 years old, and Poppy and Maeve who are both just 1 year old. Cleo is the absolute queen of the house, she mainly does whatever she feels like, and only comes to cuddle on her own terms and conditions. Cleo was first with Texas, the most beautiful gift Belinda and her husband had for their wedding. The couple cannot have children, and Belinda intended to grow her family with more Tonkanezen. But Texas suddenly died at a young age, which had a big impact on the family. For Cleo, who had a great need for a brother or sister. So came Houston, whom Belinda named after Texas: "Houston is my therapy baby, a real mommy's child," says Belinda, because Houston loves cuddling and tickling very much.

About a year later, they had the chance to expand the family further and then they welcomed Poppy and Maeve. They are still young, playful, and extremely talkative... Just like their mother!

Nothing to be desired

Although this is the first time Belinda has had so many cats at once, she wouldn't want it any other way. “Our babies mean the world to us,” Belinda tells us, and she cannot name any downsides to having cats, not one. “No, not for us. You don’t have animals in your life for nothing, and it’s not to always leave and leave them alone at home,” she continues.

The cats strictly stay indoors, so it is very important to give them as much entertainment as possible. Belinda does everything to ensure their health and safety. When she gives us a look into the cats’ room, it closely resembles our showroom. What a paradise! The four of them have the choice of five of our Cat trees, namely: Kilimandjaro, Maine Coon Fantasy, Maine Coon Tower, Corner Coon and the Royalty.

And Belinda cannot promise that this will be the end of it.

The high top lounge beds are their favorite spots and they also love to snuggle together in the hammocks. They can even fit four of them in one at the same time!

Demanding? No, they just know what they want.

All four cats have their own quirks and personality traits, and they know very well what they want. Houston & Maeve love to snuggle under the duvet with Belinda and Deon. When you come home, they always come to greet you at the door, and Houston immediately rolls onto his back for a good belly rub.

Like a true queen, Cleo greets Belinda with a head bump upon entering but then sticks her butt in the air, with her tail straight up, and trots away meowing. So, you HAVE to follow her to the cat tree where she expects more cuddles.

And Poppy and Maeve? They are always up to some mischief together, they are the most playful kittens Belinda has ever had. They have more toys than an average toddler, but they play with everything so gratefully, which is very entertaining for Belinda and Deon.
