Every week we look for interesting stories about cats and their owners. This time we spoke with Saso, from Slovenia. Saso is a wedding photographer and proud owner of two Chartreux cats. According to Saso, the most beautiful cat breed, with their blue coat and copper-colored eyes.
Photogenic cats
We got in touch with Saso because he needed spare parts for his cat tree that he has owned for 8 years. Curious as we are, we immediately checked his Instagram page mentioned at the bottom of his email. And then we saw not only wedding photos, but also beautiful pictures of his two cats. What else would you expect from a photographer?

Special meaning
The oldest is Neko, 8 years old, a cat with slightly lighter and longer hair. Inu is 6 years old, a cat with darker and shorter hair. These names were carefully chosen by Saso and his girlfriend, and have a special meaning. During their trip to Antarctica, Saso proposed to his girlfriend at Neko Harbour, and they named their first cat after it. So it was logical to give their second cat a Japanese name as well, and that became Inu. Inu means dog, and they gave this name because Chartreux cats behave a lot like dogs!
Love at first sight
Saso has always been an animal lover, but when he saw a Chartreux cat at a cat show, he immediately fell in love with the breed. He then started looking for kittens, which turned out to be a difficult search. At that time, there were no breeders of this breed in Slovenia. After waiting for two years, they were able to get Neko from Serbia, and with a lot of love, they gave Neko her new home in Slovenia. Two years later, they bought Inu from Italy. Saso and his fiancée were once again over the moon. However, they slowly introduced the cats to each other and let them get used to each other calmly, but by now they are each other's best friends and like family to Saso.
Like all cats, all of Saso's cats also have special character traits! In some ways, they even resemble him a bit, as he describes Neko as tender and shy like him. And Inu is somewhat noisier and a bit sharper, like his fiancée. Except when Neko is sleeping, then she is actually the loudest. Because then she snores very loudly, like a man.
